Acoustics Test Engineer, Prime Air Flight Sciences Vehicle Design & Test: Seattle, WAPosition Description:

Our Prime Air team is dedicated to revolutionizing delivery through innovative drone technology. We are seeking an experienced Acoustics Test Engineer to support noise testing and analysis for our drone vehicles and propellers. Your responsibilities will include designing, building, and executing indoor and outdoor noise tests, contributing directly to certification and regulatory approval processes, and collaborating across teams to optimize vehicle performance and reliability.

Join our Flight Sciences Vehicle Design & Test organization, which encompasses disciplines such as Aerodynamics, Performance, Stability & Control, and Noise Testing, among others.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or related field with 5+ years of experience or equivalent
  • Experience in acoustic and exterior noise testing for air vehicles or rotorcraft
  • Hands-on experience designing, building, or operating acoustics test systems
  • Proficiency in designing and building mechanical and electrical test systems and fixtures
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's or PhD in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or related field
  • 3+ years in acoustic design, analysis, and testing for air vehicles or propellers
  • Experience with FAA or EASA certification processes
  • Wind tunnel testing experience
  • Propeller/rotor design and testing expertise
  • Proficiency with acoustic analysis and noise modeling tools
  • System-level vehicle design intuition

Our compensation ranges from $105,600 to $185,000 annually, depending on location and experience.
