Employees work at an MUFG office or client sites four days a week and remotely one day. Details will be provided by our recruitment team.

Team Overview

The project finance team comprises approximately 70 professionals involved in originating, structuring, and executing debt project financings, including bank loans, senior notes, and advisory services, closely collaborating with MUFG's debt capital markets and global markets teams.

Job Description

We seek a collaborative professional to join as Vice President, focusing on North American Power markets, especially renewable and power assets. The role requires analytical skills, industry knowledge, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the origination and execution of debt transactions, working with senior management.
  • Identify and review new business opportunities, leading deal screening processes.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, including attending meetings.
  • Lead development of transaction screening memoranda and due diligence activities, assessing risks across commercial, legal, market, technical, environmental, and financial aspects.
  • Manage transaction execution, including negotiations, documentation, and compliance processes.
  • Advise clients on financial structures and operating requirements for non-recourse debt financing.
  • Perform credit analysis and assist with credit ratings for debt transactions.
  • Lead the creation of marketing materials and internal credit memos.
  • Ensure seamless transaction processes from origination to closing, liaising with internal and external partners.
  • Mentor junior staff and embody MUFG's client-centric culture.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Engineering, Business, Economics, or related field.
  • At least 5 years (preferably 7+) in financial services, with experience in project finance including marketing, execution, due diligence, and client interaction.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and understanding of key products like loans, bonds, and derivatives.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail.
Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range is $180K - $250K, plus potential bonuses and comprehensive benefits, including health, retirement, education, and paid leave. Details will be shared during the hiring process.
