Job Summary
- We seek a highly accomplished and visionary VP/SVP of Technology Product Management to lead our technology product strategy and execution. This pivotal role will define, develop, and deliver innovative technology products that drive significant value across our manufacturing operations and supply chain, leveraging cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence.
- The ideal candidate will possess 15+ years of progressive product management experience, a proven track record of leading and scaling diverse, globally distributed teams, and exceptional relationship-building skills with business stakeholders at all levels. Experience within the manufacturing sector, particularly with a robust supply chain, is highly desirable, coupled with a strong understanding of how AI can be strategically applied to optimize business outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Strategic Product Vision and Roadmap: Define and champion a clear, compelling technology product vision and strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives and priorities, particularly within manufacturing and supply chain domains. Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on business value, market opportunities, and technological feasibility.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of product managers and related roles distributed globally. Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Develop and implement strategies for talent acquisition, development, and retention.
- Stakeholder Management and Collaboration: Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key business stakeholders across manufacturing, supply chain, sales, marketing, and finance. Effectively communicate product strategies, progress, and results, ensuring alignment and buy-in across the organization. Act as a trusted advisor and thought leader on technology product matters.
- Product Discovery and Definition: Drive rigorous market research, customer analysis, and competitive intelligence to identify unmet needs and emerging opportunities. Define and articulate clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Product Development and Launch: Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of products. Oversee product launches and go-to-market strategies.
- AI and Emerging Technologies: Identify and evaluate opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other emerging technologies to enhance manufacturing processes, supply chain efficiency, and overall business performance. Drive the development and implementation of AI-powered product features and solutions.
- Performance Monitoring and Iteration: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and impact. Analyze product performance data, identify areas for improvement, and drive iterative product enhancements.
- Budget and Resource Management: Manage the technology product management budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve strategic objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) or a related business discipline. An advanced degree (Master's or MBA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive product management experience, with a significant portion focused on technology products.
- Experience with and a strong understanding of the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) within a business context.
- Demonstrated experience leading and scaling diverse, globally located product teams.
- Proven track record of successfully building and launching impactful technology products.
- Strong experience in developing and executing product strategies and roadmaps aligned with business goals.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and build consensus across all organizational levels.
- Significant experience working closely with business stakeholders and building strong, trust-based relationships.
- Ideally, experience within the manufacturing industry, with a deep understanding of supply chain complexities and opportunities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
- Excellent understanding of agile development methodology.
