The anticipated salary range is $70,000 to $120,000 for candidates working in New York City; however, Nuasin does not currently cap salary ranges. The final salary offered will depend on experience, education, certifications, and other relevant factors.

A High School SpEd Teacher at Nuasin will:

  • Design curriculum to meet state standards
  • Master knowledge of specific subject areas
  • Adapt lesson plans to address different learning levels
  • Prepare class activities to supplement material and engage students
  • Observe student performance and report to parents and administrators
  • Plan lessons and instruct students
  • Assess students' abilities, strengths, and weaknesses
  • Adapt lessons to class size changes
  • Grade assignments and exams
  • Communicate with parents about progress
  • Work with students to challenge and improve their abilities
  • Prepare students for standardized tests
  • Develop and enforce classroom rules and policies
  • Supervise students outside of class, e.g., during lunch or detention
  • Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree, preferably in education
    • New York State Teaching Certification
    • Classroom supervision experience
