Job Summary

Develops, manages, and executes project plans for construction projects for new facilities and expansions to existing facilities to meet safety, regulatory, customer, and internal requirements within schedule and cost parameters. Serves as the main interface with regulatory agencies, government boards, and subcontractors, providing on-site leadership and guidance. Drives the team to meet construction schedules and monitor progress. Provides executive summaries on project status to internal and external customers. Leads, manages, and directs the development and enablement of all internal and customer requirements to successfully launch and execute projects through the launch of new facilities or expansion of existing ones.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develops and manages project plans, milestones, and deliverables, including satisfaction of scope requirements, cost/budget adherence, schedule management, risk evaluation and mitigation, and quality management, ensuring customer and business requirements are fulfilled.
  • Ensures strict adherence to schedules, budgets, quality, and safety standards associated with assigned projects.
  • Provides project updates to teams, customers, and management, facilitating effective planning and oversight, and establishing strong relationships with operational leaders and decision-makers.
  • Monitors construction activities regularly, holds status meetings, and conducts periodic inspections of construction sites. Assists with customer security approval processes related to project construction and facilities.
  • Schedules and directs project meetings and teleconferences to monitor progress, ensure compliance with standards, and uphold safety procedures.
  • Prepares and presents progress reports on project costs and schedules.
  • Builds relationships with subcontractors and third parties, communicating effectively to resolve issues affecting the project.
  • Demonstrates problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills, developing solutions to critical business issues and presenting alternatives.
  • Communicates issues and strategies effectively.
  • Job Qualifications
    • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
    • 5 years of experience in manufacturing machine development, including troubleshooting, programming, and system design.
    • US Person per ITAR regulations and able to comply with export compliance requirements.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with NPI, start-up facilities, or work transfer in manufacturing, preferably in aerospace manufacturing engineering.
    • Excellent communication skills, with a commitment to customer service, supervision, estimating, safety, and quality.
    • Professional Engineering (P.E.) License preferred; experience in aerospace manufacturing construction and project management.
    • Experience in construction supervision and management of manufacturing facilities, including large relocations.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong analytical skills for assessing project progress and impacts.
    • Ability to set challenging goals and improve performance.
    • Effective interpersonal skills for remote and on-site team communication.
    • Experience with transformational projects in manufacturing environments.
