Position Summary:

Steinway & Sons is currently seeking an experienced Sales Manager for our new company-owned showroom in West Palm Beach, Florida. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in proactive sales approaches, with experience in luxury sales, business development, or customer service. Prior experience selling pianos is required. The candidate should have an outgoing and engaging personality capable of building relationships with clients on multiple levels. While playing piano is not mandatory, musical and tonal understanding is highly beneficial, as clients often seek guidance during instrument selection.

Main Responsibilities
  • Achieve personal sales goals and support the store in achieving overall targets
  • Develop and nurture customer leads and relationships
  • Implement a referral outreach program targeting key influencers (e.g., piano technicians, designers, piano teachers)
  • Coordinate post-sale piano technical needs such as tuning
  • Manage and follow up with leads using the CRM system
  • Support in-store and regional promotional events
  • Work with customers to resolve issues
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Background in music; piano experience preferred
  • Experience as a piano salesperson or sales manager is required
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Motivated, results-oriented self-starter with problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently to generate new business
  • Note: Some local travel required. Candidates must be able to lift 20-50 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods

Average earnings for successful candidates are around $200,000, with uncapped earning potential.
