We're Wickersley Partnership Trust (WPT) - a multi-academy trust with eight primary schools, five secondary schools, one sixth form, and one Central Team.

Our schools are located across Rotherham, South Yorkshire, with one in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire.

About the Role

The Governing Body meets three times per year for full meetings and twice for committee meetings. Meetings are held in school or online, with materials provided in advance. Governors may also participate in panels and attend school events, performances, and educational visits.

The Governing Body is responsible for:

Overseeing the Senior Leadership Team and ensuring accountability for the quality of education

Monitoring the school's financial performance

Ensuring long-term plans serve the pupils' best interests

The Role of a Governor

As a Governor, you will ensure the school meets its responsibilities and bring a parental/community perspective, without acting as a spokesperson for parents.
