Mass Spectrometry Research Scientist - Expert in Metabolite Profiling and Analysis
: Job Details :

Drives research projects scientifically and determines the course of research as evidenced by leadership, obtaining funding, writing, or other recognition. May not necessarily receive independent resources; however, their contribution is essential to the conceptual/scientific success of the project.

Essential Functions

Trains/mentors study staff.

Mentors a team of data analysts in statistical analysis, study design, and coding.

Oversees progress across multiple research and evaluation projects.

Identifies, assimilates, and synthesizes data needed for computer models and manages databases related to statistical and software tools.

Collaborates with cross-functional teams (analytical chemistry, sensory, applications & flavor creation) to achieve project goals.

Leads internal encapsulation science research programs and external research collaborations.

Designs, executes, and interprets research experiments.

Analyzes and presents data at internal and external meetings.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Complies with all policies and standards.

This position does not require patient care (indirect/direct).

Qualifications

Education

Doctorate in a related field of study required. No experience in lieu of a degree accepted.

Experience

5-7 years of research experience required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to contribute to publications.
• Experience working on any cloud platform.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proven scientific competence in the field.
• Excellent research skills.
• Good organizational skills; detail-oriented.
• Intermediate people management skills.
• Potential for scientific creativity and original thought.
• Experience with statistical analysis.

Physical Requirements

Frequent standing, walking, lifting (35 lbs+ with assistance), carrying, and reaching; occasional sitting, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and foot use; constant feeling, vision (far and near), talking, and hearing.
