Intellectual Property Litigation Associate - Chicago, New York, or Washington, DC

About the Role

Steptoe LLP seeks an associate with 2 to 4 years of experience in patent and/or trade secret litigation to join the firm's IP practice group in its Chicago, New York, or DC office.

Qualifications

• Admission to the DC, Illinois, or New York Bar is required.
• Undergraduate degree in engineering, physics, computer science, or a related field.
• Registration to practice before the USPTO is strongly preferred.
• Additional qualifications such as an advanced science or technical degree, industry experience, and computer programming skills are a plus.

Candidate Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven track record of technical analysis.
• Persuasive writing abilities.
• Ability to assume immediate responsibility and work on high-stakes cases as part of a collaborative team.
