Purchaser

Consigli Construction Co., Inc. is seeking a dedicated Purchaser to join our team. We are a nationally recognized, employee-owned company with a rich history dating back to 1905, known for our innovative culture and exciting project portfolio.

The Purchaser will be responsible for hiring Subcontractors and Vendors for specific projects, working closely with the project team including estimators and project managers to ensure timely and budget-conscious procurement. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining relationships with subcontractors and vendors, conducting prequalification, bid solicitation, and award processes, as well as risk analysis, writing subcontracts and purchase agreements, and leading meetings with stakeholders.

Required Experience

Experience with construction schedules, drawings, and specifications.

Experience reviewing estimates and budgets, and evaluating subcontractor proposals.

Strong analytical skills and ability to define scope of work for trade packages.

Excellent communication skills, professional and fair in dealings.

Ability to facilitate proposal and review meetings.

High sense of urgency and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

Strong relationship-building skills.

Effective multi-tasking and time management skills.

Attention to detail and understanding of contracts.

Team player with a positive attitude.

Bachelor's degree in Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.

2-5 years of experience in procurement or similar roles, preferably in construction.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
