We are a team of mission-driven engineers with experience across aerospace, robotics, and self-driving cars working to make this future a reality.As an Avionics Test Engineer at Reliable Robotics, you will be part of the avionics engineering team responsible for designing, selecting, verifying, integrating, and certifying avionics and electrical components and systems to automate unmanned aircraft under stringent civil aviation standards. Your focus will be on verifying development and flight hardware, including products such as computers, remote data concentrators, and aircraft electrical systems supporting aircraft automation.ResponsibilitiesYou will develop and deploy automated test solutions for complex avionics hardware, from early prototypes to formal qualification campaigns. Your tasks include designing test benches and procedures for circuit debugging up to system verification, coordinating with vendors and engineers across disciplines, tracking hardware issues, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions, and improving electrical test infrastructure.Basic Success Criteria
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of full-cycle electronics hardware testing or development experience in a professional environment
  • Familiarity with programming/scripting languages (C, C++, Python)
  • Ability to diagnose, document, and solve electronic hardware problems systematically
Preferred Success Criteria
  • Advanced degree in electrical or computer engineering
  • Familiarity with industry test standards such as RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-461/810, or similar
  • Experience with test equipment, measurement techniques, and hardware verification processes
  • Experience developing and simulating complex PCB assemblies using tools like Altium Designer and SPICE
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally across organizations
