Maintain and provide for the safe condition and operation of all electrical machinery, equipment, and systems. Position Responsibilities
- Test electrical systems using tools that include voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters to determine where issues may be occurring, the safety of the system, and to ensure compatibility.
- Repair electrical issues by replacing or installing components, wiring, or devices.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and reporting violations of policies, procedures, and guidelines to the immediate supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Job SpecificationsMinimum Requirements
- High School diploma or its equivalent.
- 2-year Trade School degree or completed state-recognized apprenticeship program.
- Must have a Minnesota State Journeyman Electricians license.
- At least 2 years of journeyman-level electrical experience.
- Must be dependable, punctual, self-starter, and able to work closely with others.
- Ensures all work performed meets the required safety codes and is properly inspected.
- Must be able to use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment. Must be able to use ladders, scaffolding, platforms, and lifts to access and work on electrical systems.
- Perform inspections and maintenance on electrical systems to ensure safety and functionality.
- Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.
