Location: 650 Dudley Street, Dorchester, MA
Pay Range: dependent on qualifications and experience
The Facilities Manager oversees daily operations of the RJKCCC facilities, including maintenance of building and utility systems, supervision of maintenance staff, and ensuring safety and asset longevity. Responsibilities include:
Supervising daily facility operations and maintenance staffMaking hiring, training, and evaluation recommendationsMonitoring external areas and infrastructureManaging repairs and working with contractorsParticipating in planning and setting priorities with the Program DirectorFirst responder to emergencies (fire alarms, chemical spills)Developing preventative maintenance plansMaintaining warranty and equipment recordsOverseeing vehicle and equipment maintenancePurchasing supplies within budgetEnsuring safety and security of facilities and groundsReporting and repairing vandalism and damageMaintaining records for repairs, expenditures, and complianceTesting and calibrating building systemsSupervising pool maintenance and working with Aquatics ManagerMaintaining Salvation Army vehicles and equipmentAssisting with food pantry operations as neededAssuming Manager on Duty responsibilitiesQualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 7+ years in facilities management
- Preferred certifications: CFM, boiler, HVAC, pool operator license
- Experience supervising staff (3-5 years)
- Strong knowledge of building trades and construction
- Leadership and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with software, blueprints, OSHA standards
- Willing to work evenings, weekends, on-call
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, valid driver's license, 21+ years old
