Position Summary
The Journey Kids Operations Director's purpose is to provide operational and administrative support to the Kids Pastor, ensuring efficiency in ministry functions, resource distribution, and event coordination. This role will streamline processes, optimize logistics, and enhance communication between central services and campus teams to create an excellent experience for families engaging with Journey Kids.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operations & Administration:- Organize and manage weekly staff meetings, including preparing agendas, recording notes, and tracking action items.
- Analyze and report key ministry metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
- Oversee financial operations in collaboration with the Kids Pastor, managing budgets, expenses, and financial planning.
- Manage the Kids Pastor's schedule and ensure alignment with ministry priorities.
- Serve as the primary liaison for Campus Kids Directors, ensuring seamless communication and operational support.
- Maintain and distribute essential ministry resources, including marketing materials, curriculum, event materials, and digital tools.
Family Experience & Engagement:- Develop and oversee volunteer teams responsible for creating an exceptional Sunday and Wednesday experience for families.
- Implement and maintain a structured follow-up process using Planning Center Workflows to ensure families stay engaged with Journey Church.
- Manage procurement, assembly, and distribution of first-time family resources to enhance their initial experience.
Communications & Marketing:- Work with the communications team to develop and execute strategic marketing plans, ensuring consistent branding across all platforms.
- Oversee Journey Kids' social media presence, curating engaging and informative content to drive engagement.
- Respond promptly and professionally to parent inquiries via phone and email.
- Draft and distribute email communications to inform parents and volunteers about upcoming events and key updates.
Event Planning & Execution:- Plan, coordinate, and execute events from concept to completion, ensuring logistical excellence.
- Develop strategic event promotion plans to maximize engagement and attendance.
- Oversee event registrations, including managing sign-ups, tracking attendees, and coordinating event communications.
III. Key Relationships
- Kids Pastor: Reports directly to the Kids Pastor and provides operational and administrative support.
- Campus Kids Pastors/Directors: Acts as the central operational support, facilitating coordination, resource sharing, and collaboration.

- Foster unity within the staff by demonstrating teamwork, professionalism, and integrity.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures to ensure operational excellence.
- Maintain a balanced schedule that meets ministry expectations while optimizing productivity.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Kids Pastor to support Journey Kids' operational success.
