About the Role
Culmen is seeking a bi-lingual HR Generalist, Manager, or Director to support an upcoming opportunity in Health and Human Services. These roles may require extended hours, including weekends, holidays, and being on-call.
What You'll Do in Your New RoleHR Generalist
- Maintain knowledge of HR laws, practices, and internal policies.
- Support management with employee relations and escalate issues as necessary.
- Conduct surveys to assess employee satisfaction and engagement.
- Monitor performance improvement plans for underperforming staff.
- Report on headcount, turnover, and recruitment metrics.
- Assist with communication of the employee handbook and organizational chart.
- Review employment termination recommendations with HR and Legal teams.
- Support talent acquisition and recruitment efforts.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws.
- Identify organizational improvement areas.
- Assist with implementing new policies and initiatives.
- Provide ongoing HR support.
HR Manager
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
- Manage employee relations, grievances, and demands.
- Oversee recruitment and selection processes.
- Support employee engagement, motivation, and retention.
- Resolve conflicts through mediation.
- Develop HR systems, tactics, and procedures.
- Foster a positive work environment.
- Manage performance appraisal systems.
- Maintain pay and benefits programs.
- Handle workplace investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Assess and monitor training needs.
- Report HR metrics to management.
- Ensure legal compliance and maintain employee privacy.
HR Director
- Devise strategies for performance, staffing, training, and development.
- Develop HR plans for compensation and benefits.
- Serve as the point of contact for employment relations.
- Monitor policy adherence and legal standards.
- Conduct investigations and address employee complaints.
- Oversee recruitment efforts.
- Identify organizational enhancements.
- Supervise HR staff and coordinate with the corporate office.
- Implement strategies to improve staff retention and productivity.
- Review employment termination recommendations.
- Mitigate legal risks through training and education.
Required QualificationsHR Generalist
- Bachelor's in Human Resources or related with 2 years of HR experience
- OR Associate degree with 5+ years HR experience
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Effective presentation skills
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays
- At least 21 years old
- Proficiency in English and Spanish preferred
- Valid Driver's License
- Clear Tuberculosis test
- Clear background and drug screening
- Immunization documentation for Tdap, Varicella, MMR, Hep A/B
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
HR Manager
- Bachelor's in HR management or related, with 3+ years of HR experience
- Experience in conflict resolution, investigations
- Same schedule and age requirements as above
- Proficiency in English and Spanish
HR Director
- Master's in HR or Business Admin + 2 years of HR experience
- OR Bachelor's + 5 years of HR experience
- Knowledge of employment laws
- Same schedule and age requirements as above
- Proficiency in English and Spanish
