Senior Project Manager - Industrial and Energy Construction
This position will require short and long-term travel. Candidates must be willing to travel or relocate for extended periods of time on a project specific basis.
Qualified applicants must have:
- 7+ years of PM experience in the heavy industrial environment: manufacturing or processing plants and similar builds.
Seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee construction projects ranging from $500K to $70M in the industrial, manufacturing, and energy sectors. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Define project scope, assess resource needs, and set clear objectives.
- Supervise construction efforts to align with design, schedule, and cost requirements.
- Maintain strong client, contractor, and engineering team relationships.
- Oversee financial aspects, including contracts, expenses, and equipment rentals.
- Develop and maintain project schedules for timely execution.
- Manage subcontractors, lead contractor meetings, and issue change orders.
- Ensure workforce productivity, material efficiency, and contract compliance.
- Represent the company in negotiations, strategy discussions, and project meetings.
- Support and mentor Project Engineers while fostering team growth.
- Oversee project closeout, including financial reconciliation.
Qualifications:
- 9+ years of experience in heavy industrial project management.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and planning skills.
- Ability to manage all technical, safety, financial, and scheduling aspects of a project.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Primavera, and Viewpoint.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management required.
- Experience in the automotive sector is a plus.
