ESSENTIAL DUTIES PER AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY: a. Communicates ideas for new services to VP and HRRMC leadership if applicable. Will conduct recruitment interviews and will maintain candidate confidentiality both internally and externally. Will assist VP with other recruitment activities as assigned. b. Under the direction of the VP, works within budgetary guidelines to ensure departments are staffed accordingly. c. Conducts &/or attends monthly departmental meetings; in the absence of a manager, responsible to hold monthly staff meetings with each department. Obtains input from employees, supervisors, manager, VP and physician(s) and develops the agenda for departmental meetings; leads meetings and ensures agenda is followed. Immediately communicates any issues with VP. Follows up departmental meetings with written minutes to all staff and VP. d. Establish division goals & develop & execute both short & long range objectives. e. Continually assessing and improving the performance of care and services provided, identifying performance improvement opportunities, communicating them to the VP & developing a plan for improvement. f. Lead service lines & teams, coordinating with other departments as needed to deliver optimal care. g. Provide patient care in alignment with the appropriate discipline's job description (physical therapist, occupational therapist, speech language pathologist) when needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for the supervision, overall direction, coordination & evaluation of all assigned departments per the HRRMC Organizational chart. Carries out all supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies & applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring & training employees; planning, assigning & directing work; appraising performance; rewarding & ensuring accountability of employees; addressing concerns, resolving problems & promoting the philosophies & objective of the organization's mission, vision & values.

This management role facilitates improved alignment with strategic vision for the entire service line. Sharing of information, collaboration, and communication are essential for success. Director level position possesses the training and skills to perform Administrator on Call (AOC) role and participates with the call rotation.
Functions as a role model for current and new staff and may perform the same duties/responsibilities as subordinates. The role demonstrates expertise and is able to handle multiple priorities
Utilizes problem solving techniques to prevent conflict and promote team development.
