Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems sector has an opening for a Test Instrumentation Manager 2 to join our Test Engineering team. This leadership role is located in Edwards, AFB, CA.
Key responsibilities:
Lead a large team of Engineers and TechniciansResponsible for program staffing, Test Readiness Reviews, leadership development, and knowledge retention for the organization.Actively drive team engagement and collaboration, goal setting, performance feedback, and participation in department affordability strategy.Manage staff and technical activitiesCreate and manage schedules, spending plans, staffing plans, and develop proposals for future work.Prepare presentations/reports and routinely present status to senior leadership.Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM discipline AND 9 years of related professional / Military experience in Engineering OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline AND 7 years of related professional / Military experience in EngineeringExperience in any of the following: Flight Test Instrumentation, System Test, Systems Integration, Project Leadership, Hardware Design, Electrical DesignMinimum of 2-years experience as a functional or assignment managerAbility to obtain Program Special Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company, to meet its business needsPreferred Qualifications:
Solid technical understanding of instrumentation systems and architecturesExcellent leadership, motivational, and communication skillsExperience recruiting or hiring a diverse workforceProven experience taking on assignments to identify and solve issues proactivelyAbility to interface with all levels of functional and program managementDemonstrated ability to plan and execute technical projects from inception through completion with the ability to manage several tasks/projects simultaneouslyAbility to manage cost, schedule, and technical performance of SOW elementsRisk and opportunity management experienceCustomer relationship experienceProven ability to drive change within a complex environmentSalary Range: $142,200 - $213,400
