TITLE: Venue Technology Engineering, Sr Manager

WHAT SETS YOU APART:

Orlando City SC is currently seeking a talented individual to join as a Venue Technology Engineering Sr Manager. This role oversees the activation of all audio and visual needs for all events held at Inter&Co Stadium and Club facilities and is responsible for the maintenance and operational integrity of all systems and equipment associated with those needs including, but not limited to, LED video displays, IPTV systems, audio systems, video control assets, broadcast infrastructure, and the in-stadium control room.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee technical operations for the Production Control Room and manage IPTV systems on a daily basis. Act as main troubleshooter and support for production line operators regarding equipment operation and workflow before, during, and after events.
  • Manage crewing, scheduling, and payroll for all Inter&Co stadium and facility events, including but not limited to game days, specialized club events for vendors, sponsors, and external groups.
  • Assist Game day Production and Broadcast teams in the development and deployment of best practices and internal systems to streamline production and operational efficiency.
  • Manage projects and contractors for work related to major stadium and facility systems including capital expenditures and any/all future repairs.
  • Assist with the setup of event day equipment in coordination with Game Production team including intercom systems, microphones, scoreboard, and theatrical controllers as needed.
  • Assist Broadcast team with cabling and technology infrastructure in broadcast booths, broadcast cable I/O boxes, truck dock, press conference room, training facility studios, etc.
  • Work with I.T. department to maintain, repair, and test all broadcast equipment and infrastructure throughout Inter&Co Stadium and facilities; including but not limited to fiber optic, SMPTE cable, and other audio/video cabling, master control room servers, router, switcher, IPTV, and related equipment, broadcast level cameras, Triax Connectors, IO panel, JBT Boxes, and other A/V equipment.
  • Serve as main point of contact and provide technical support for visiting broadcasters (i.e. Apple, Amazon Prime, Paramount+, FOX, ESPN, etc.) and manage television camera placements, seat kills, digital signage and television truck parking in coordination with Broadcast, Ticket Sales, Communications, and Stadium Operations teams.
  • Provide technical support for VAR technology for MLS, NWSL, and other non-Club events as needed.
  • Be responsible for show incident reports and risk mitigation at the end of each event day.
  • Coordinate with additional contracted engineers and utilities as necessary.
  • Help maintain equipment, implement repairs cleaning/sanitation, and work together with the Game Production and Broadcast teams on the integration of new equipment and workflows.
  • Work with our vendor to troubleshoot and maintain the field-level, facia, and main video board displays for all Inter&Co Stadium events; oversee on-site vendor technicians during event days for immediate troubleshooting of all LED video displays throughout the stadium.
  • Maintain proper documentation related to completing tasks, progress of work orders, inventory of supplies and equipment, and expenses related to work on A/V infrastructure.
  • As needed, offer technical support with set-up of A/V needs for meeting rooms, hospitality spaces for internal events and private events.
  • Support all Club events and presentations at Inter&Co Stadium and business office regarding video control technical requirements along with A/V setup and configuration.
  • Provide input during capital expense budget process as it relates to equipment and systems maintenance and acquisition.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of experience within an entertainment/sports venue setting.
  • Ability to work outside of regular business hours including but not limited to weekends and holidays as required by the Exploria Stadium schedule, special events, and projects.
  • Previous experience or training in LED video displays required.
  • Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives.
  • Ability to independently seek proactive solutions to problems before they arise.
  • Basic competency with IT/software and hardware issues.
  • Basic operational knowledge of broadcast equipment; i.e. audio board, switchers, routers, camera controls, and CG devices.
  • Exercise good judgment based on an understanding of the organization's policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to turn tragic moments into magic moments.
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to accomplish goals under strict timelines.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior stadium video control room and/or TV truck experience.
  • Prior experience with a major video systems upgrade/new installation.
  • Ideal candidates should have proficient knowledge of the following brands, products and systems:
