Christ Panos Foods a leading food distribution company in Itasca, Illinois, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Receiver to join our dynamic warehouse team. The Receiver will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain by accurately inspecting, verifying, and recording incoming shipments. This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and teamwork to maintain inventory accuracy and uphold the quality standards of Christ Panos Foods.Position Details: Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am-6pm Starting Pay: $21.00/hour Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive and process purchase orders with accuracy and efficiency
- Prepare and print Bills of Lading and Transfer Orders
- Maintain organized records by filing shipping and receiving documentation
- Welcome delivery drivers, verify documentation, and direct them to the appropriate dock
- Process returns receipts and ensure proper documentation for returned items
- Audit invoices to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Monitor and update files on shared drive, ensuring up to date and accurate records
- Conduct inventory check and address discrepancies through troubleshooting and resolution
- Perform additional tasks assigned
Work Environment - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and power industrial truck. The employee is frequently exposed to cold, wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.Physical Demands - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for the duration of the production shift; talk or hear; use hands or finger to handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Requirements
- Background check and drug test
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving
- Prior experience in the food industry with knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
- Familiarity with ERP software
- High School Diploma or GED
