Security Service Technician

Build your career with the industry-leading fire, life safety and security company.This position is responsible for installing, and inspecting fire, burglar, access control, and CCTV systems.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:* Installation, service, and inspection of security alarms and associated low voltage systems* System testing and inspecting to the prescribed standards* Make connections and required adjustments as directed; test operation of all components of each system to the signal-receiving center* Provide on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of customers security equipment* Preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports* Ensuring a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication* Maintains a clean and safe work environment on and off site* Interface successfully with Administration, Sales, Customers, and Management* Ability to use a variety of hand tools* Perform other duties as requiredEducation/Qualification:* A high school education or equivalent required.* 2+ years experience inspections, field service, and/or installation preferred* NICET Certification is preferred* Familiarity with one or more of the following product lines: Avigilon, S2, Honeywell, DSC, Firelite, Silent Knight, DMP preferred* Ability to install, inspect, or service security alarms* Basic computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)* Must have clean driving record and a valid Driver's LicenseOther Duties:* Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.* Performs other duties as assigned.Physical Requirements:* Maybe required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.* Must be able to walk and stand.* Comfortable reaching, climbing (ladder/stairs) and bending.* Must be able to verbally communicate via telephone.* Must be able to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.#vermillionsystemsBenefits and Perks:* Excellent pay* Medical, dental, vision* Company paid life insurance* Company paid short term disability* 401K with employer match* Paid vacation and company holidays* Company vehicle (if job applicable)Pye Barker Fire and Safety is an Equal Opportunity Employer
