Plumber (Local 95 Union)

**This position will work under the Local 95 Union**Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm with some travel to Cranberry, PassavantInstall, maintain, and repair gas, air, water, sewer, vacuum, medical gas, and fire suppression systems in the hospital.**Responsibilities:**+ Perform all work following infection control procedures.+ Prepare pipe for installation such as cutting, threading, removing burrs, grooving and bending.+ Record work orders and submit hours to supervisor on a daily basis.+ Estimate costs of installations and repair work, including requisition of material, as needed.+ Fit valves, couplings and other plumbing devices by screwing, bolting or soldering and seal connections with joint compounds, gaskets or caulking by using appropriate tools.+ Inspect systems for pressure loss and leaks.+ Install, repair and maintain various types of pipe assemblies, plumbing fixtures and piping systems from blueprints and sketches, including but not limited to chilled water, heating hot water and medical gas.+ Investigate and perform system outages.+ Maintain clean and safe work area, equipment rooms and shop areas.+ Mark, cut and bend pipe to meet specifications by using hacksaw, pipe cutter or cutting machine.+ High school diploma or GED required.+ Completion of five-year apprenticeship, which includes blueprint reading, mechanical drawing, mathematics, and plumbing and minimum of three years work experience.+ Knowledge of State and Local plumbing codes and ordinances is required. **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**+ Driver's License+ Journeyman Plumber OR Master Plumber License+ Act 34**UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran**
