Audit medical records to identify missed charges, incorrect coding, and inconsistencies affecting billingConduct Root Cause Analyses to report findings on common coding issues and missed billing opportunitiesRetrieve missing patient information and documentation necessary for billingPrepare reports and summaries of audit findings for presentation and educational purposesProvide coding support to cross-functional teams and assist with special projectsWhat is Required (Qualifications):
Minimum of 3 years of coding experienceMust have and maintain an approved coding credential through AAPC or AHIMAMust obtain at least one additional certification (CANPC or CPMA) within 1 year of employmentExtensive knowledge of medical billing software and electronic medical recordsProficient PC skills, including Microsoft 365 and Excel (basic formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables)How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
