KCMR is a non-commercial Christian radio station with easy-listening, inspirational music broadcast 24 hours a day. KCMR is streamed for our worldwide listeners. KCMR is the only listener-supported, locally owned and operated radio station in Mason City, Iowa. The Development Director supplements financial support by securing underwriting for music, programs and news/weather reports.

Job Description:

Securing new underwriting and sponsorships for Inspiration 97.9 KCMR FM Radio

Servicing and renewing existing business underwriting and business sponsorship accounts

Keeping accurate records of all accounts

Writing and producing business underwriting and sponsorship spots

Coordinating production with station personnel

Making sure all underwriting/sponsorships air as directed

Following Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules and regulations and station guidelines for underwriting and sponsorship

Other responsibilities as needed or assigned by the General Manager

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Arts Degree or equivalent work experience in broadcast sales, marketing or business.

Previous sales experience with people skills and budget planning is desired
