Our City Life Director develops volunteer teams to provide extensive, faith-based programming to at-risk youth ages 11-19 focused on under-resourced neighborhoods in Lima, OH. Our mission is to help young people develop a way of living taught by Jesus Christ: balancing the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of life. We build valued relationships that are sustained through ongoing involvement and wrap-around care for students in their neighborhoods. We support the family unit and partner with other agencies and other YFC ministries to provide youth a pathway to success. This position does require a portion of personal and community fundraising.
The City Life Director is a position that requires spiritual and organizational leadership skills, the ability to work with and through other people, and strong communication skills. S/he must embrace and build a team that embodies YFC's Cultural Attributes: Christ-centered, enduring humility, relentless trust, courageous faithfulness, joyful camaraderie, and kingdom-inspired diversity. S/he will seek to implement relational ministry actions to develop Authentic Christ-Sharing Relationships with young people within the context of the City Life Ministry Model.
Essential FunctionsNote: Hours must complement our afterschool programs, and evenings. Some weekends are required.
