Of course, if you have mining experience your resume will stand out even more.The Mining Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing mining operations, ensuring efficiency and safety throughout the mining process.   • Conduct surveys to determine the location and extraction of minerals.
  • Oversee aggregate production and ensure quality control.
  • Manage capital projects and labor planning for mining operations.
  • Plan and schedule equipment usage to optimize productivity.
  • Lead mine construction projects from conception to execution.
  • Design and implement drill and blast plans for mineral extraction.
  • Evaluate extraction methods and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and optimize plant flow for enhanced efficiency.
  • Engage in long-range planning to align with company's mining objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental policies.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for mining projects.
  • Stay updated on state and federal regulations affecting mining operations.
  • Ensure adherence to safety requirements at all times.
  • Utilize mathematical equations for engineering calculations.
  • Maintain professionalism and effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
  • Use computer skills for modeling and project management tasks.
  • Willingness to travel and work weekends as needed.
  • Read and interpret technical documents and regulations.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical engineering, or related field
  • Construction co-op or internship experience
  • Willingness to travel approx. 50% of the time from office to the job sites
