They maintain certain standards of water quality by adding chemicals such as chlorine, iodine, and hydrochloric acid to the water. The technicians are assigned a route each week and are expected to provide a premium service to each pool and spa. The associated duties are cleaning pools through brushing and vacuuming, responding to water hygiene incidents, cleaning filters, performing water cleaning, running tests, servicing pool systems, and reporting water quality to managers. In this position, you will be responsible for the maintenance and service of pools on a specific route.Required Skills
- Be organized, have the ability to check email, and be able to effectively communicate with your supervisor daily.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a consistent schedule and workload.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service-oriented attitude to communicate with customers effectively and pleasantly.
- Attention to detail and ability to document customer information and customer logs.
- Ability to take instruction and adapt to new methods/systems when implemented.
- Must have the ability to communicate in English.
Required Experience/Qualifications
- No experience necessary!
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, and motor vehicle report.
- Must have valid driver's license, 5 years verifiable driving history and clean driving record.
Physical Requirements
- Must be capable of lifting 85lbs+ if/when necessary, & conditioned to endure extreme seasonal temperatures while walking, kneeling, climbing, frequently as you maneuver around the environments of the pools & spas.
- Due to the nature of our work performed for your safety you must be capable of swimming.
- Pre-employment drug screening and completion of a pre-employment background check are required as a condition of employment, prior conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed. You will be required to complete and submit a questionnaire. We will consider your age at the time of the offense, when the offense occurred, the seriousness and the nature of the offense, as well as any rehabilitation to determine your employability.
Schedule
- Once established, our Pool Maintenance Technician will be expected to consistently maintain a Service Route of approximately 60-80 pools per week. Company truck, uniform, tools, and equipment are all provided.
- Hours: Monday through Friday with a start time of 5:30am
- The service route is located in the East Valley (Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler) area.
- Expected hours: 38 - 41 per week
