This role requires close collaboration with leadership to ensure all projects are On Time - On Budget - Done Right - Done Safely.Responsibilities include:Providing technical sales support to aid customer understanding of department capabilities and experienceSupporting sales in project estimating based on project historical data and knowledgeAssigning project leads and supporting team members to awarded projectsProviding overall department workload schedulingSupervising and providing performance reviews for engineering staffHiring staff for the departmentProviding department status updates to upper management and ownershipCommunicating department capacity to sales managementManaging the department budgetParticipating as an active member of the management teamEnsuring department training and developmentOverall responsibility for the work performed by the departmentMany tasks include their own work and/or the review of work of others in the department.Candidate qualifications:5+ years of leadership and management experience10+ years of engineering experienceEngineering degreeMaster's degree in business or mechanical engineeringPHYSICAL DEMANDSAbility to move around industrial equipment and shop environmentsMust be able to lift 50 lbs occasionallyAbility to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periodsThis description is not exhaustive and duties may change as needed.About SpecSysSpecSys is a full-service provider specializing in project management, engineering, and manufacturing, focusing on large mobile equipment.
