Unarmed Security Flex Officer Job DescriptionOatridge Security Group is looking for a Security Flex Officer to join its rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate for this position has some experience working security, has a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and has their own vehicle. Our Security Flex Officers need to have flexibility in their schedule; able to take shifts on short notice, with mandatory availability on weekends (Friday through Monday) and overnights. During that window of mandatory availability, the Flex Officer must reply to the dispatcher's call within 2 hours of receiving it and report any periods of unavailability greater than 2 hours, and report for duty at the jobsite within 4 hours of being scheduled for a shift. This position requires individuals that possess self-discipline, a good work ethic, and punctuality.Unarmed Security Officers must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug test. Candidates should have a clean driving record, be well groomed, articulate, dependable, and be a team player. The Officer does not act in the capacity of a law enforcement officer and has no arrest or apprehension powers. • Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior military, civilian, or security officer experience preferred but not required.

Required Skills, Certificates, Licenses, Or Registrations

• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
• Must speak, read, write, and understand the English language, apply written rules, detailed orders, instructions and training material.
• Excellent customer service via phone and face to face conversation, excellent written and spoken command of the English language.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty up to the standards of OSG.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Detect, deter, and report crime, fire, unusual events, and emergencies.
• Required to follow all company personnel and safety policies and perform all assigned duties in a safe manner.
• Will arrive at work at the designated time in proper uniform with any necessary equipment.
• Must be able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays and take shifts on short notice.
• Work approximately 24-48 hours per week, based on business needs.
• Provide Security for new sites until permanent Security Officers can be hired.
• Fill in for officers who are on vacation/sick/no call-no show.
• Will carry out general and special orders for assigned post.
• Will communicate via radio, telephone and in-person, according to orders.
• Will be responsible for cleanliness of uniform and assigned equipment.
• Meet, greet, and interact professionally with clients and the general public.
• Maintain poise and self-control under stress.
• Construct and write clear, concise, accurate, and detailed reports in English.
• Read, speak, understand, and apply printed rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training materials in English.
• Must be comfortable turning away trespassers, loiterers, and transients (who might be under the influence of drugs or alcohol) on the client's property from a safe distance away.
• This is not a comprehensive list of duties. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
