Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/15/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse – PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) Location: 10 Union Square East, New York, NY 10003 Shift: Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM – 9:15 PM Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical procedures. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage medicated drips and post-operative recovery in a fast-paced environment. ️ Key Responsibilities Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia in Phase 1 and Phase 2 PACU settings Administer medications and manage medicated drips as per physician orders Provide post-operative care and pain management Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital protocols Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions Qualifications License: Active New York State RN License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience Minimum 2 years of PACU experience At least 1 year of travel nursing experience Experience in post-op management and medicated drips Education Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Accepted: Associate Degree in Nursing with relevant experience and/or active enrollment in a BSN program Patient Ratios Phase 1 PACU: 2:1 Phase 2 PACU: 5:1 About HonorVet Technologies HonorVet Technologies: Pioneering Purpose, Empowering Heroes Founded in 2015, HonorVet Technologies stands as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) , proudly certified by NaVOBA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs .
