We're looking for someone who will bring joy, purpose, and connection to the lives of our residents every single day.As our Therapeutic Recreation Director , you'll design and lead a variety of enriching programs that support the social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and spiritual well-being of our residents. Your work will make a lasting impact—and you'll be part of a team that truly feels like family.What You'll DoPlan and lead engaging group and one-on-one activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities.Foster a sense of community through social, recreational, and spiritual programming.Maintain accurate and timely documentation for each resident.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support holistic care plans.Encourage resident participation and independence.Organize and promote events, outings, and special celebrations.Manage recreation supplies and maintain a welcoming activity space.Support new resident assessments and ongoing evaluations.QualificationsCertification as a Therapeutic Recreation Director (per Connecticut state requirements).Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Creativity, empathy, and a passion for senior care.Excellent time management and organizational abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends.A team spirit and a heart for service.Strong attention to detail.Ready to Make a Difference?If you're ready to bring energy, compassion, and creativity to a role where you'll truly change lives, we'd love to meet you.
