Teaching Assistant $16-$16.50/hour: Pro Action has vacancies for Teaching Assistants in our Hornell Main classroom. Teaching Assistants work 37.5 hours per week, following the school year calendar. The Teaching Assistant partners with the Certified Teacher in the planning and implementation of daily activities in the Pre-K classroom, adhering to Head Start Performance Standards, NYS Office of Children and Family Services Day Care Regulations and all other applicable program regulations. Working in a team environment, the Teaching Assistant will participate in weekly planning sessions, attend training and meetings as required, ensure a safe and healthy classroom environment, assist in classroom, and program modifications and help with inventory as needed. Requirements The Teaching Assistant position requires a Child Development Associate (CDA) or associate degree - or - must be currently enrolled in a program leading to a CDA or associate's degree, with experience is a preschool setting. The ideal candidate must have a valid driver's license, meeting agency standards per position and consistent, reliable transportation that will allow regular travel in and around the service area.
