Job Summary
Curriculum Management
Support the Associate Directors in managing program curricula by coordinating course schedules and offerings.
Oversee requirements for Major, Minor, and Graduate Programs, and manage course approval requests.
Use the University's reporting systems to compile statistics and maintain records.
Student Services
Lead outreach and recruitment activities for Biophysics, including event attendance and new outreach strategies.
Manage all aspects of the application and admissions process for Graduate Programs, including financial aid packages and funding processing.
Launch student activities like orientations, seminars, and graduation events.
Responsible for tracking PhD milestones and student milestones.
Advising
Provide academic advising for undergraduate students, tracking their academic progress toward degree completion.
Conduct degree audits and ensure compliance with degree requirements.
Administrative Support
Perform administrative duties to support program goals and special projects, including maintaining documentation and updating websites.

Required Qualifications*
Associate's degree or equivalent combination of work and educational experience.
4 or more years of administrative experience in an academic setting.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Experience in student advising and coaching.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
A self-starter who works independently and in teams, managing multiple tasks and deadlines while promoting respect and cooperation.
Desired Qualifications*
At least 2-3 years of student services experience in a higher education setting, including working with faculty and international students.
Previous academic advising experience in higher education
Knowledge of University, LSA, and Rackham policies and procedures.
Knowledge and experience of PhD funding and processing, and the student financial aid system.
Experience with connecting students with campus resources in a confidential setting.
Proficiency with Wolverine Access, Business Objects, MReports, MPathways Student Administration, and various LSA Systems, including MRS, Student Advising File, Blue, and Course Maintenance.

Additional Information
The target salary range for this position is $48,000 - $60,000. Please note a higher salary may be offered for highly qualified candidates.
This is a full-time position. This position is in-person but will have some flexibility to work from home on a set schedule based on business needs. The department reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employees.
