Hiring Department: Education - Office of the Dean

Position Open To: All Applicants

Weekly Scheduled Hours: 19

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Earliest Start Date: Aug 16, 2025

Position Duration: Expected to Continue Until Dec 31, 2025

Location: UT MAIN CAMPUS

Purpose

Student employee will provide front desk assistance in the College of Education Student Affairs Office, with the objective of facilitating excellent customer service for students, faculty, staff, and UT guests visiting the Student Services Center.

Responsibilities
  • Answer telephones
  • Set up appointments for students and/or direct them to the Canvas module with the link to schedule their own appointment
  • Welcome prospective students and their families who come to the desk
  • Discuss the degree plans offered by the College of Education (all materials online)
  • Welcome visitors and provide directions as appropriate
  • Run errands on campus
  • Accept packages from mail carriers/direct them and staff to the mailbox area
  • Other duties based on office needs

Salary Range

$15 per hour
