Staff Accountant - The Salvation Army in the Midwest : Job Details

The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of ledgers, financial reporting, and budgeting of assigned departments/locations. $28.84 - 31.25/hour, 40 hours/week 2445 Prior Ave N, Roseville, MN 55113 Essential Functions (approximate time spent) Maintain accurate ledgers, financial reporting, and budgeting of assigned departments/locations (40%). Ensure donations and grant funding are appropriately utilized and documented (20%). Coordinate work flow for assigned departments/locations with internal department staff (20%). Prepare timely financial statements (10%). Monitor budgets on a monthly basis (5%). Assist in preparing annual budget templates and input approved budget data (5%). Education and Experience Associates degree in accounting. In lieu of degree, relevant experience may be considered. Previous accounting experience required, preference given to non-profit accounting.
