The Commerce, Growth, & Identity (CGI) team focuses on creating seamless user experiences, offering flexible subscription plans, and building capabilities to drive subscriptions, engagement, and monetization across Disney's streaming and digital platforms.

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Fraud team. You will build solutions to identify and prevent payment fraud, contribute to our risk platform, and collaborate across teams including Product, Security, Data, Analytics, and Business Operations. You will be responsible for your features, focusing on quality, reliability, and maintainability.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement tier-1 microservices in Java and/or Scala.
  • Implement asynchronous processes in the cloud for data transformation.
  • Contribute to technical design for initiatives and projects.
  • Participate in code and architecture reviews.
  • Engage in Agile and SCRUM processes.
  • Provide on-call support for critical services.
  • Own features and deliver projects end-to-end with high quality.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional partners.
  • Learn new domains and technologies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical role.
  • Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
  • Expertise in domain-specific areas.
  • Experience building scalable, resilient large-scale systems.
  • Collaborative experience across multiple teams.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Proficiency in React and JVM languages.
  • Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, RDS, ElastiCache, Opensearch, CloudFormation).
  • Developing RESTful services.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Scripting experience with Python or JavaScript.
  • Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure).
