Dining Room Server / HostLocation: Quail Park Communities - Visalia, CA Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays) Pay: $21.00 an hour Benefits: Check out our benefits at Benefit Information Here!Purpose To provide efficient, professional, and compassionate resident meal service in the dining room-ensuring every resident and guest enjoys a superior, Signature Dining experience in line with community standards.Minimum Eligibility Requirements
  • Strong commitment to customer service and a passion for exceeding expectations
  • Fluent in English (read, write, speak) for effective communication
  • Basic computer skills preferred (for POS/digital logs)
  • Compliance with all local/state health and food handling regulations
  • Current certifications: CPR/First Aid, Food Handlers, Continuing Education credits
  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment screening (physical, drug, TB test, and criminal background check)
Essential Job Functions As Host (if assigned Host role):
  • Warmly seat residents, families, and guests, ensuring prompt attention upon arrival
  • Collaborate with dining team to deliver the full Signature Dining standard
  • Foster inclusive, uplifting environment in the dining room
Meal Service Duties:
  • Join pre-meal meetings to review menu and specials
  • Seat residents in your assigned section and greet them courteously
  • Track no-shows and assist with meal record-keeping via POS or manual logs
  • Report any changes in resident behavior or eating habits to Supervisor
  • Serve meals using proper techniques; present food attractively
  • Support dining area setup (e.g., refilling napkins, condiments) as directed
Dining Room Cleaning:
  • Clean and organize service areas after meals
  • Ensure tables, chairs, and flooring are reset and tidy for the next seating
  • Assist with additional cleaning as needed (e.g., wiping surfaces, sweeping)
Other Responsibilities:
  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor; adhere to dress code
  • Attend required staff meetings and training sessions
  • Uphold Residents' Rights and all company policies, including service philosophy
  • Exhibit reliable and predictable attendance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in hospitality, dining service, or senior living environments
  • Comfortable using POS systems or other basic digital tools
