Position Details

This is a full-time, fully-remote position, ideal for those aiming to become Licensed Professional Engineers in the power industry. The role involves designing protection and control systems for substations and supervising a team of 1-7 engineers.

Responsibilities
  • Lead engineering projects, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Create and modify design documents, including one-lines, control schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Design auxiliary power systems and develop SCADA interfaces.
  • Collaborate on system integration and perform engineering calculations.
  • Conduct relay coordination studies and prepare settings.
  • Coordinate with project teams and review technical packages.
  • Perform site walk-downs and manage material logistics.
Supervisory Duties
  • Supervise 1-7 employees, providing guidance and evaluation.
  • Hire, train, and manage team performance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • EIT required; PE preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years in relay protection/control design for 15-500 kV substations.
  • Strong understanding of utility substation project lifecycle.
