The Senior Project Manager-Data Center Orders is responsible for leading the execution of large, multi-unit power system projects for data center direct customers. This role oversees all phases of the project lifecycle—from order entry through final equipment shipment, ensuring seamless coordination across engineering, operations, manufacturing, and suppliers. The Senior Project Manager-Data Center Orders serves in a highly customer-facing role, with frequent direct interactions to manage expectations, address concerns, and deliver exceptional customer experience. The position is accountable for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to specification, while fostering strong, positive relationships with both internal teams and external customers.

Work Mode: Hybrid 2-3 days in office

Location: 200 Twin Oaks Road Kohler WI 50344

Travel: This position requires travel up to 15% for project meetings and supplier visits.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead execution of multi-unit data center direct orders from order acceptance through shipment, ensuring exceptional customer experience and satisfaction.Develop and maintain detailed project schedules across departments, tracking progress to key milestones.
  • Utilize Smartsheet to manage project timelines, assign tasks, communicate status, and track progress payments in collaboration with Sales Administration.
  • Facilitate project kickoff and order entry meetings to ensure cross-functional alignment on scope, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Manage scope changes and track cost/schedule impacts; lead formal change order process and documentation.
  • Monitor project documentation including submittals and approvals
  • Coordinate engineering deliverables and design approvals with generator Engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with procurement and vendors to ensure timely delivery of critical purchased components.
  • Schedule and lead weekly internal project status meetings with cross-functional teams to resolve open items and maintain execution momentum.
  • Host and coordinate factory witness tests
  • Track and communicate project progress using dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders during project execution, including Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or project management (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of generator systems and data center infrastructure preferred.
  • Proficiency in Smartsheet or similar project management platforms.

The Salary range for this position is $88,000.00-$111,150.00.The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
