Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Under the general direction of the Manager, works on complex engineering projects, provides expertise on studies, and supports advanced applications related to market operations and network applications such as State Estimator, RTCA, and EMS software. Acts as a coordinator or subject matter expert, resolves engineering-related problems, and collaborates with internal departments and vendors.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs functional testing of applications related to Day-Ahead/Real-Time Market, Market Quality Solutions, and Transmission Network Applications, ensuring they meet business rules and reliability standards.
• Supports operations, provides training and guidance, and participates in rotating 24x7 on-call schedules.
• Maintains current applications, analyzes system errors, and works towards prompt recovery and problem resolution.
• Enhances and supports applications related to market and network operations, including testing and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or Computer Science; Master's preferred.
• At least five years of related experience.
• Professional Engineering certification desirable.
• Experience with Power Systems, EMS, market operation, web services, Oracle, SQL, and real-time systems.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams under pressure.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Information: Salary range is $113,625 - $189,375 annually. The position offers flexible hybrid work arrangements and relocation assistance is available.
