Job Description

We are seeking a talented Java developer to join our team for a Murex Upgrade project, expected to end in Q2 2025, with potential extension by 1-3 months based on project needs.

Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly skilled and autonomous Java Developer to upgrade and maintain the Java layer around the Murex system. This role is vital as the Java layer manages all input and output operations within Murex. You will work in a distributed team of 14, so effective communication and independence are essential. Onboarding is streamlined, with full operational capability expected within one or two weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the Java layer around Murex, ensuring smooth data flow.
• Collaborate with team members across global offices.
• Work with the latest version of Murex, ensuring compatibility and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or Quantitative Finance.
• 5+ years of relevant experience with Murex.
• Strong Java development experience, particularly in financial services.
• Recent experience with Murex architecture and integration.
• Experience with Python is a plus.
• Familiarity with Apache Camel is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently within a distributed team.
• Strong communication skills for coordination across time zones.
