The Opportunity

Good Inside is looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer (Flutter) to join our core application team. This is a full-time position and will report directly to the Head of Engineering. As a member of our core application team, you will be responsible for our core mobile user experiences. With a deep technical understanding of Mobile Engineering, both native and Flutter, and an eye for details and pixel perfect design, you will join our senior mobile team in delivering a best-in-class user experience. This role is a hybrid position with three days a week in our Manhattan office.

What You'll Own

• The design, development and maintenance of our Flutter based mobile application
• Act as a resource for other engineers, as well as product managers regarding all things mobile
• Collaborating with backend engineers on how to best serve and visualize data
• Writing and distributing clear documentation regarding architectural choices and processes

Your Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in native mobile development
• 2 to 3 years of experience in Flutter and Dart.io
• A deep understanding of modern mobile development for both Android and iOS
• Proficiency and active experience in backend development in any form
• You possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• You are a strong collaborator with the ability to foster solid team dynamics and effective cross-functional relationships
• You are a team player who is willing to take direction but can get things done on your own with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• You remain calm and organized when faced with shifting priorities and roadblocks
• Have the ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and drive results
• You are excited about Good Inside's mission and are passionate about improving the lives of parents and children
• Start Up Growth Experience: This isn't your first time helping a high growth startup scale. You are excited by the challenge and love creating and learning from the bottom up.
• User-Facing Mobile App Experience: You have worked on businesses where the end product is an app and have experience driving app user acquisition.
• Cross-Functional Marketing Experience: You have collaborated with a wide range of non-technical stakeholders with a focus on marketing and product management.
• Owns challenges and drives solutions with confidence
• Communicates directly and effectively and pursues the truth, even in difficult moments
• Is motivated and driven by ambitious goals
• Adapts quickly, taking on various responsibilities with enthusiasm
