About the Company

We're working with a stealth-mode cybersecurity company building future-proof encryption products to secure the world's most sensitive data. The team is made up of engineers, cryptographers, and scientists rethinking how data privacy should work in the age of quantum computing.

They're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help lead product development across on-prem and cloud-based systems — with a strong emphasis on systems-level development using Rust, Go, and Python.

This is a hybrid role based in New York City, offering competitive pay, equity, strong healthcare coverage, generous 401K matching, and some of the best views in the city.

What You'll Do

• Lead the development of core backend infrastructure and high-performance services
• Build and test complex new features from end to end, including integration with front-end systems
• Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers
• Collaborate closely with product, security, and infrastructure teams
• Shape architecture decisions and own technical delivery for major initiatives

What They're Looking For

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• Hands-on Rust experience is a must (personal or professional use)
• Strong backend experience with Go and Python
• Experience with React and TypeScript for front-end development
• Strong understanding of cryptography fundamentals and secure coding practices
• Comfortable working in Linux-based environments and on performance-critical systems
• Bonus: Experience with infrastructure automation, CI/CD, or DevOps tooling
