Responsibilities

• Operate various automated systems and laboratory equipment.
• Perform ad-hoc instrument troubleshooting and error recovery.
• Develop and update operational SOPs.
• Manage data integrity through automated processes.
• Collaborate with department members, IT, and cross-functional teams to support screening infrastructure, including clinical screening libraries, lab instrumentation, robotic platforms, and develop data workflows.
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend automation and assay strategies, including machine learning and AI.
• Oversee and drive design, planning, and execution of automation strategies for vaccine program clinical assays.
• Contribute to validation and implementation of automated workflows.

Qualifications

Work Experience & Education Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automated Sciences, Computer Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field with laboratory equipment experience in a regulated bioanalytical environment.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience with liquid handling systems (e.g., Beckman, Labcyte, Tecan, Hamilton, Brooks).
• Experience with robotic system schedulers (e.g., HighResolution BioSolution, Biosero, Thermo).
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and understand scientific data from robotic platforms.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech labs.
• Knowledge of Microsoft programming languages (VB, C#, LabVIEW, etc.).
• Electro-mechanical design skills.
• Experience with electronic lab notebooks.
• Knowledge of GLP standards.
