JOB DESCRIPTION

The RNG Project Manager has responsibility to support planning and lead the execution of RNG (Renewable Natural Gas) projects for Nopetro. They will manage and monitor every aspect of the project necessary for successful development, permitting, construction and operations of the plant. The RNG Project Manager will work directly with the RNG Business Managers to provide both technical review and recommendations to the EPC Contractor. They will interact with the host landfill, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders. The RNG Project Manager will be responsible for monitoring the scope, schedule, and budget for the EPC contract.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Frequently meeting with Nopetro Management and stakeholders to identify project requirements, delivery timeline and costs.
  • Participate in the plant design and commissioning processes.
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership, customer relations and communication skills to liaise effectively with all project stakeholders.
  • Arrange for outside third-party assistance when required and manage and oversee any third-party contractors.
  • Manage the required project permitting process, supported by third party contractors.
  • Develop detailed project plan and tracking tools to track adherence to the project budget and delivery schedule.
  • Review monthly invoices to ensure compliance with the Scope of Work, Purchase Order and anticipated progress billings.
  • Prepare and submit monthly progress reports.
  • Support all Nopetro safety training and ensure that all safety processes are adhered to.
  • Work with the landfill operations to maximize gas collection and comply with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in the routine communication protocols with the landfill.
  • Direct site meetings as required (construction and safety meetings).
  • Comply with all Nopetro workplace, federal, state and OSHA safety guidelines and obligations as well as all relevant compliance obligations related to environmental protection.
  • Support the development of safety and emergency procedures associated with the project.
  • Always communicate with stakeholders in a friendly and constructive manner.
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time by the Company.

JOB SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES

  • Ability to lead, manage and develop the project team.
  • Able to work under pressure and maintain professionalism.
  • Good organization skills with the ability to prioritize and execute.
  • Accept and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Communicate accurately with employees, supervisors, and managers. High level of analytical and trouble shooting skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic chemistry principles, well field and RNG plant operations.
  • Able to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a multi-skilled work team environment.
  • Reliable and committed to achieving Company and team goals/objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Technical degree or 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Prior project management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with industrial gases.
  • Experience with setting and adhering to site budgets and understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Experience with setting and adhering to project budgets.
  • Experience with scheduling project tasks.
  • Experience adhering to health and safety responsibilities and requirements.
  • Experience with environmental and site compliance regulations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to read, write, hear and communicate adequately to complete job duties and responsibilities.
  • Must be able to see adequately to complete job duties and responsibilities.
  • The work can be physical in nature. Ability to stand, sit, bend, squat, crawl, climb, stoop, walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to occasionally travel by automobile and/or airline for extended periods of time.
