QA Tester (3 positions) - Genesis10 : Job Details

Genesis10 is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer for our client in the utilities industry. This long-term contract position is located in Dallas, TX 75202. This role is onsite 3 days a week.

W2 Hourly Pay rate range: $45-50/hr

Description:

This position requires the ability to work as a member of the Client Testing Team for the SharePoint & Portal Project, reporting to the Manager and test leads. The individual must have experience developing test plans, test cases, and test scripts, executing tests, and recording results using appropriate test tools, primarily qTest for test case management.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop test cases for web and desktop applications.

Review business, functional, and design specifications to ensure full understanding of deliverables.

Identify testing requirements from specifications, map test case requirements, and design test coverage.

Develop and execute Test Plans to ensure delivery of quality software that meets company standards.

Identify potential quality issues and escalate them immediately.

Work onsite in Dallas, with possible travel to client service centers within the DFW area.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of relevant testing experience, including testing customer-facing applications.
• College degree or equivalent.
• Experience with qTest required; JIRA experience is a plus.
• Willingness to work late hours and weekends as needed.

Necessary Skills/Competencies:

• Experience testing web services, APIs, and Microservices.
• Proficiency with testing tools, especially qTest, and automation tools like Selenium or UFT.
• Experience testing SharePoint Portals, web pages, and mobile applications.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and backend testing involving SQL/Procs.
• Ability to create and execute manual and automated test cases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Desired Skills:

• Experience testing native apps and ensuring accessibility compliance.
