Job Summary
The PubSec Microsoft Digital Innovation Group (MDIG) focuses on pre-sales consultative guidance, emphasizing customer value, and discovery of service and sales opportunities across the Microsoft technology stack for government, healthcare, and academic sectors.
The PubSec Microsoft Solutions Consultant (MSC) supports pre-sales activities related to Azure, including partner engagements and service offerings for education, government, and healthcare sectors.
This role involves interfacing with customers, building relationships with internal teams and Microsoft, and supporting adoption and education of Microsoft solutions. Continuous learning about current and future Microsoft cloud technologies is essential.
Role Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with Microsoft Customer Technical Specialists.
- Identify market gaps and opportunities to deliver value.
- Lead training sessions on Microsoft technologies.
- Collaborate with Microsoft support resources for customer communication.
- Consult on Microsoft products, implementation, and adoption strategies.
- Recommend third-party solutions when appropriate.
- Develop demos for Microsoft use cases.
- Deliver pre-sales engagements focusing on Purview, data governance, and security.
- Obtain and maintain relevant Microsoft certifications.
- Document opportunities in internal tools for tracking.

Certifications
Within 180 days of hire, certification in one of the following:
- Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Information Security Administrator Associate
Other Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
The annual pay range is $100,000 - $190,000, dependent on experience and market location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401K, and more.
