Opportunity Details Direct Project Engineer Shelby Township, MI A Multinational company located in Utica, MI is seeking multiple Mechanical Design Engineers for their Automation, Assembly, and Material Handling Systems. The Design Engineer pay rates are anticipated to be salary based on each candidates experience and education. All well qualified candidates will be considered regardless of pay rate. The ideal candidate will research the project information and requirements from direct customer interaction, or from the original manufacturing drawings. Candidates will possess most (if not all) of the following: * 5+ years of recent / relevant Mechanical Design Engineering experience with Automation / Assembly / Material Handling Systems. Closely related industries will also be considered. * Must have solid skills with Solidworks or similar Software. * A BS in Mechanical Engineering is Preferred, but not essential. Equivalent combinations of an Associate degree / experience / etc. will be considered. * Must be able to travel 10-15% overnight. * Must be able to work in the US- US Citizens / Canadian Citizens / US Green Card holders welcome. * Must be able to complete standard pre-hire checks including background, drug screen, references, etc. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field Preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD software for mechanical design (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Strong understanding of Concept Design, Checking, GD&T principles and application.
• Experience with root cause analysis methodologies.
• Familiarity with FEA tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within a team environment.
