The Program Director is responsible for programmatic and administrative support of the NRT: Next Generation Technology and Talent Driven by Environmental Sustainability Program. They will serve as the primary point of contact for students, faculty, and external partners at North Carolina A&T State University (NCA&T) and Purdue University, coordinating educational and career development activities focused on students.The Program Director will develop policies related to student funding, awards, special projects, and program evaluation. They will also promote the program within and outside the NCA&T/Purdue partnership. Reporting to the Program PIs at both institutions, the director will monitor budgets and prepare reports for funding agencies. Given the innovative and experimental nature of this new program, the director must be adaptable, open to trying new approaches, and facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the universities.Primary Function of Organizational Unit:
North Carolina A&T State University is a public, doctoral, high research land-grant university with 14,311 students. The project will train 22 NRT-funded trainees and about 70 additional graduate students across multiple engineering and computer science fields. The initiative emphasizes recruiting and mentoring African-American and women doctoral students, contributing to a diverse STEM workforce.Requirements:
