Meadow Gold Dairy has immediate job openings for well-versed Milk Processor Operator to perform an array of functions including maintaining, breaking down and setting up equipment and machinery, while troubleshooting and resolving basic to moderate operating issues. Production operators will be responsible for processing finished or raw materials, while following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and communicating effectively with all departments and meeting daily deadlines.

COMPENSATION/SHIFT

  • $25.92 - $28.80 Hourly
  • Monday-Friday: 6:00am-2:30pm

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate pasteurizer in compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Obtain milk and cream samples for testing by lab to include raw and processed product
  • Wash and sanitize milk silos, cream tanks, and any other equipment as needed
  • Produce product according to guidelines and separate into correct batches
  • Follow recipe guidelines for all products produced.
  • Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
  • Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimal
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
  • Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach and bend virtually the entire shift
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist others when lifting is necessary and manually stack and move cases up to 6-8 cases high
  • Must be able to work in a wet environment and work in an environment where temperature is maintained at 35–40 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays
  • May occasionally be exposed to cleaning chemicals
